Design Series: Nursery

It is no surprise this was one of my favorite nurseries I decorated six years ago. To this day, this light fixture is still my favorite of any I have picked out for a bedroom. I love it because it is not overly fussy and quite intriguing, best of all, it is Stray Dog Designs, started here in Chattanooga. This was the first room I used this style of window treatment, and I love them because they remind me of Palm Beach. Lastly, the artwork is like the exclamation point of the room! Since the art is a little sharper, I went with the Schumacher animal parade fabric for the rocker to soften the whole look of the room. With that all said, I used the geometric dust skirt, not because it was my favorite fabric at the time, but because it was in Caroline’s nursery eleven years ago and I wanted to use something that I had used in Caroline’s sweet baby room. Yes, this was Sarah’s nursery and we have since moved, but I still look back at this room and love every inch of it!
