Weekend Links // 5.3

What a fun weekend! Yes, I am behind on posting weekend links, but I’m very determined to stick with my plan of posting at least once a week. Even though everyone loves their social media quick and fast on reels and instastories, I prefer slow and deliberate in old school blog post form!

Anyhow, this past weekend was what I dreamed of when we decided to move to this house. I love a house and yard FULL of kids, and the cherry on top was to have so many parents (especially parents of boarders in town) to have the chance to visit as we close out such a wonderful year. PDC was Sunday night here in Chattanooga for 9th and 10th graders and we hosted a picture party for 9th grade Baylor girls and their dates before the dance. PDC has always been an Atlanta tradition, but this was the first year they brought the dance to Chattanooga and all the kids had a ball! I’m excited to watch this tradition grow through the years. More importantly, I’m very excited to watch this great group of kids over the next three years together in high school.

Another life update, Caroline turned FIFTEEN on Monday!! We officially have a driver. A milestone like this makes you realize as a parent, you really do blink and they are grown. She passed her learners drivers test her first time, whoohoo, and has officially driven up and down the mountain a few times, as well as the interstate with both Matthew and me. She’s doing really well! I’m excited for her!

Ok, on to the few things I’ve been shopping for this past week and a few links you all have asked for…. ENJOY! Oh, and if I ever forget to answer a shopping DM, just send me another DM or e-mail for shopping requests/links. Sometimes I read things quickly and intend to get back to answering and then forget! I’m always happy with reminders!! XOXO

Spring in Paris // what to wear

Springtime in Paris is best time to go! The weather is perfect and cafes are bustling with people lingering outdoors. Everything is in bloom and it’s just stunning. It’s been a while since we’ve been in the spring, the last time we were there was in late fall, but some of our dear friends just got back from spring break with their two daughters and their pictures were beautiful!

As for packing and what to wear in the spring, I always stick with one color palette, mainly neutrals for Paris, and definitely layers considering the nights are cooler. When I think of Paris, I love sleek black, white, cream, and maybe a few florals added in. So if I were going at the end of this month, I would definitely pack the four pieces above. How great is this cream denim bomber for spring? This wrap skirt can be dressed up or down, but I mainly see it during the day with a black t-shirt, the cream bomber and cute sneakers. Then, this black and white stripe dress has the best silouette, it’s elegant yet not fussy and perfect for late spring. I think I may have to order this one. Ok, and if you are going to Paris soon ( and I know who is and this would look fabulous on you), you NEED this black dress for a dressy night out or this beautiful floral dress. Both of these dresses are GORGEOUS and I want to see someone wear either of these in Paris.

I’m linking a few more pieces below I found that I love. Dresses during the day, like this one, seem perfect for walking around, but I also included some tops that have a romantic feel to wear with jeans. Have so much fun!
