Having Fun with Raddish Kids

The girls and I had so much fun with yet another box from Raddish Kids, a cooking club for kids. At the beginning of every month, the girls look forward to the box in the mailbox containing a few new recipes, a new patch for their aprons (which I still need to iron all of theirs on), and a new kitchen tool for children to use while making the recipes. The girls have learned a few new culinary skills each month, and if I'm to be completely honest, these are all good refresher tips for me too! It is so important to have kids helping in the kitchen at night and I am a firm believer in families eating around the dinner table together at least four nights a week. That brings me to one of the other things we absolutely love. Each monthly box contains a set of 4 "Table Talk" cards. The girls look forward to seeing what the questions will be. Some of the questions are funny and some are more serious, but regardless, it gets us talking about pretty random things and makes for an enjoyable hour at the table, even for our three year old! One last thing I love about Raddish Kids is the willingness the kids have to try anything, as long as they are the chefs. One of their favorite new dinners were the Monster Mash Meatloaves they made in October.

Last night the girls made a Festive Pizza Wreath. They loved kneading their own dough and actually were willing to mix the parsley into the cheese mixture. Overall it was a win! The wreath was delicious. The girls were ready to keep cooking, so we made the Chocolate Peppermint Crunch cookies, a recipe that was also included in the December box.

I was really skeptical about if we would actually make the recipes when the box comes in, but like I said, the girls love it and look forward to seeing what it is they are going to get to make! I am all about creating an environment at home where the girls can be as creative as possible, and Raddish Kids helps us do this!
