Style Files: Labor Day
Before I start writing about clothes and all things fun for Labor Day weekend, my heart is so heavy and cannot stop thinking about everyone in Texas. We are so blessed to live in a country where there is such an outpouring of love and support. There are many ways to give, but one that caught my eye was through a blogger I follow who is from Houston, Champagne and Chanel, who posted www.youcaring.com/victimsofhurricaneharvey. Caroline and I sat down together to make a donation. I waited until she got home from school to make a donation because I think it is so important to teach our children early the importance of helping those during such a devastating time.
Ok, now on to Labor Day clothes. I can't wait to do a recap next week of what we are doing for Labor Day, but for now, I want to share with you everything I plan to wear. A lot of these fun pieces can transition into fall with jeans and booties. Then a few pieces, well, you all know my LOVE of summer dresses, so I could not help myself and ordered a cute new dress that I won't be able to wear long during fall, but it is classic and perfect to pull out for a warm getaway or early spring next year!
Oh, and Sarah has been wearing red, white, and blue all week. Caroline wears a uniform to school, but I still get to dress Sarah each day. She only goes three days a week, but she and I have had fun pulling out her festive red, white, and blue clothes. I love making each holiday special with the kids. One way I think it is fun to do this is having them dress in a festive way leading up to whatever holiday is next. (Don't worry - they won't be in Halloween clothes next week)!! Anyway, I'll link a few of my favorite looks for the girls too!
Red Chanel Purse
Flag Bishop dress (I got Sarah's at Sandbox boutique in Chattanooga, but linked one here)
....And I can't wait to see the girls in these nightgowns!!
