Tuesday Tablescape & Dinner

Tuesday night, the girls and I had fun setting the table on the patio, reminding us of all those fun outside family dinners during quarantine. Sometimes we get in a weeknight rut of what we have for dinner, but last night decided to make one of our family favorites we all love when on Sea Island. We picked up fresh shrimp from Wholefoods and this new blackening seasoning to make a blackened shrimp salad. It was a super easy meal to make with steamed green beans and steamed purple mini potatoes (Sarah’s favorite).

First, I mixed this light and tangy salad dressing on broccoli slaw and popped the mixture in a serving bowl. I then topped it with crumbled bacon, cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. After sautéing the shrimp in olive oil and blackening seasoning, I topped the salad with the hot shrimp. The girls and Matthew love this meal and definitely will be one in our spring and summer rotation.

As for the tabletop, I picked up the cutest Hester & Cook stripe table runner. I love putting this paper one down outside, so I don’t have to wash a table cloth, but can have a clean place to eat on the porch. I also loved these adorable faux grass placemats from Bud &Floral here in Chattanooga. The Wedgewood Nantucket Basket is our everyday china we received when we got married and the stemless glasses I like to use outside for water, tea lemonade, and wine are just these from Target. The napkins are a recent order by India & Ivy.
