Travel Diaries: Coconut Tree Farm

"Living life fully in the moment," a quote I read in a Parrot Cay Como book a few minutes ago.  This is exactly why we come here as a family.  Life is so busy at home and hard to enjoy every little thing, but I can honestly say, I do live fully in the moment when on this island.  One of the things we have all been looking forward to on this trip is checking on the coconut trees we adopted two years ago.  When Caroline was five and Sarah was almost a year old, we adopted coconut trees for the girls.  They painted signs for their trees and picked out two baby trees side by side.  At the beginning of this week, we all hopped on a golf cart to go back to the coconut plantation and find the girl's trees.  After looking through the many signs, we found them and I wish I could explain just how happy Caroline was to see her tree.  Sarah was too, but she was so little when we traveled here before she did not fully understand where we were going.  As we checked out our growing trees and all took in the amazing beauty of the island around us, I can honestly say WE, as a family, have been living life fully in the moment this week.... and happy to see our coconut trees are alive!

Look at my adorable husband!  While we were waiting on the golf cart to pick us up, I captured this cute pic!  This is how he always watches the girls playing.   Can you tell they have him wrapped around their little fingers?!?

Sarah and I were ready to hop on the golf cart to go to the coconut plantation.  This top I lucked up on at TJ Max.  I love a good find!  I learned this from my mom, who thinks shopping is a sport.  My shorts are from last year, but here and here are similar options.  Sarah's cute jelly shoes can be found here.  I buy all of the girls bows at Sandbox boutique in Chattanooga.  Sarah's dress is sold out, but here is a similar one.
