For as long as I can remember, I have loved finding things to wear I know no one else will have. My mom and I would shop and shop to find pieces that would be fun and different. I’ve taken that into my life now and always try to shop for new designers when we travel. Of course, I still love brands I have been loyal to for years, where I can order and know I will love the piece, but I also LOVE to hunt down under the radar designers. There is something fun about wearing a piece unique to you and knowing it is not {yet} on all the usual shopping websites we all like to hit up. Well, this is where ModaTrova comes into play. Caroline Barton, the founder of ModaTrova, also loves the thrill of discovering new and emerging designers, which is fabulous because she has put all her discoveries into a beautiful website easy to shop in one place. What once started as a newsletter she would write with these newly discovered brands, turned into an online destination to shop beautiful female founded emerging brands. The pieces are carefully curated with an eye for something unique, yet classic and good price points. It’s also not overwhelming with too many new designers, which is nice because it has the feel of shopping a local boutique.
