March Coffee Table Books

Slim Aarons books have been a long time favorite of mine. I never tire of flipping through the pages. As an American photographer, he was noted of his images of socialites, celebrities, and jet-setters. I can’t get enough of the fashion scene in each of Slim’s pictures and he once was called, “an anthropologist with his camera.” He documented an entire era and, “Aarons extracted everything that was cool and chic about old money.” (Town and Country Magazine, 2016). I’m fascinated by all the images and am inspired to turn everyday into a glamorous Slim Aarons photo. I recently added “La Dolce Vita” to my collection and just like the others, it did not disappoint. Right now, we’re all craving travel and experiences and this collection of photos takes you through beautiful Italy. If you do not have a Slim Aarons book, I would suggest starting with this one. I also must say, there is a new one coming out in September and I have already preordered it from Amazon. I can’t wait to devour the pages of the long awaited, “Slim Aarons Style.”

others i’m loving …

One more book I love, not a new one, but always refer to when I’m in a rut style wise or need inspiration for writing here is this one. In fact, I wanted to pack it for this week to reread some sections on the beach, but with as much as I already packed, if I started packing coffee table books, Matthew might have to draw the line (an he is really patient)! So I didn’t pack it, but if you need a colorful, style inspiring book, I recommend adding it to your Amazon Prime cart. Happy weekend and enjoy the weekend! XOXO, Tracy
