Gift Ideas for Husbands

Ok, so I think we can all agree the hardest person on our Christmas list to shop for is our husbands! The crazy part is, husbands/daddies are the most important person to shop for in my opinion. I mean, they do stuff for us all year, make sure we’re happy and taken care of, and just are amazing in so many ways because they often just want us to be happy, so putting some time and thought into making them feel special is extra important! I complied a list of some ideas I came up with and also listed some things Matthew already has (and loves) in hopes this list will help you find a few fun gifts to go under the tree for your sweet husband!

  1. Heated ski boots seem like the ultimate luxury gift item if your husband loves to ski. I know this is one thing Matthew would never buy for himself, but I certainly think it would be fun to surprise him with these on Christmas.

  2. This is a good looking, classic passport case. Now we can travel again, this is a fun gift, especially if you have a trip in the works!

  3. This particular pair of tennis shoes have been the favorites for years now and a fresh pair at Christmas is always fun! (I swear by these too when it comes to running, old school as they may be, or maybe it just ages us)!

  4. If you don’t already have a Yeti, these are a must! From school tailgates to keeping drinks cool on a patio for a friend get together, a Yeti is the way to go. These seem to be selling out in most places, so if this is an idea you like, I would act fast!

  5. As life has gotten more casual, needlepoint belts are a fun way for guys to have something a little different to wear. We have been giving Matthew one or two of these a year, whether it is Christmas theme, one for our college team (yes they even have one for Furman Paladins), or a nautical theme, collecting these has been fun. One of our absolute favorites is this one to match our sweet golden retriever. I linked this one found at Tuckernuck, but you can find lots more on the Smathers and Branson website.

  6. This pullover from one of Matthew’s favorite places to shop is really good looking I love the leather detail at the zipper.

  7. These are Matthew’s favorite swimsuits and we usually give him one every year at Christmas to look forward to upcoming trips.

  8. I love the idea of this heated ski boot bag. Plus, it would make carrying the boots easier when the girls pile on extras for him to carry after a day on the slopes.

  9. Kiehl’s is Matthew’s favorite brand of skincare and I love how cute this holiday package of nighttime essentials looks. Maybe this would inspire him to use a night cream!

  10. I love the classic cut of these pants. It’s always necessary to add to Matthew’s work wardrobe.

  11. How fun is this wireless bluetooth speaker? We love listening to music when we’re cooking or just around the house and could use an updated speaker. This one looks like a fun one to go under the tree this year!

  12. Facial Fuel is one of Matthew’s favorite after shave products! This makes a great stocking stuffer.

  13. We gave Matthew this navy vest last year and he has worn it so much, I’m thinking we may give him a different color in the same vest this year.

  14. This Yeti water bottle makes a great stocking stuffer and I worry about how much water Matthew drinks, so at least if he heads to work with this, I can remind him to finish it during the day! Just kidding, I would not do that, but I do think this would help remind him to drink lots of water!

  15. A fresh pair of leather gloves is always fun at Christmas and I love the shearling detail on the inside of these men’s gloves.

  16. Warm house shoes are always a great gift! These are classic and look extra comfy!

  17. This beautiful gift set of books about collector cars seems like a gift where Matthew will get lost in these for a few hours. Plus, it is kind of a win / win because if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you know I have a deep love for coffee table books AND love how books tell a story when you walk into someone’s house.

  18. Matthew has a tool box that belonged to his dad, but I’m thinking he may want one a little smaller too, like this one. Craftsman is classic and functional.

  19. A new box of golf balls is a fun stocking stuffer and I know these are the ones Matthew loves.

  20. A new, updated range finder for the golf course is a fun gift. This Nikon one gets great reviews online.

  21. Griot’s garage products are a favorite of Matthew’s and he loves a Saturday or Sunday afternoon where he has time to wash the cars. Silly as it sounds, I think he finds it relaxing.

  22. Lastly, these casual pants are great for lazy Saturdays. I think I’ll be adding a few pairs of these to my cart to wrap up fro Matthew.

In addition to this list, I wanted to share an idea I did two years ago. I wanted to surprise Matthew with a gift right before Christmas, so I had black and white pictures printed out from our family travels, collected some other items and showed up at his office three days before Christmas with the girls and redecorated his office. I lined up an installer to hang framed pictures and brought in some new pictures to update frames on his desk. He was so excited and surprised, and I loved giving him something he would be able to enjoy every single (work) day! If this sounds like a fun idea for your husband, you can read about the office re-do here. (The blog post is old and best seem on a desktop).
