Classic White Tops
Labor Day weekend was just what we needed … a weekend at home! I could have done without canceling our Sunday night of swimming and champagne at a dear friend’s house due to 3 out of 4 of us being under the weather (disclaimer: it was NOT covid), but I DID enjoy 12 hours of sleep on Sunday night. This was followed by Sarah staying in pajamas all day Labor Day, a good walk with Matthew, and topped off with an outdoor porch concert put on by Sarah and Caroline. Sometimes your body just tells you to SLOW IT DOWN, as if I did not already learn this during quarantine. I think it is quite the opposite, the minute we came out of quarantine, our family has been full speed ahead and we needed this weekend to hit the reset button! I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s lake, mountain, beach (and desert) pics, but home sweet home was perfect for the Moore fam this past weekend!
I find lately, I have been gravitating to the basics. With life being more laid back these days, a white top is a great way to look casual, but pulled together too. Plus, I never tire of a classic white top. Whereas, I do love buying fun prints and you all know I love bright colors, when I’m in a funny mood or just don’t know what to wear…A classic white top ALWAYS feels good! I love texture and with my strong interest in interior design, it has to be the right fabric too. The details of a white top are ALSO just as important as the fabric itself. Whether it is a puff sleeve or a bold bow detail, I like my classic white blouses to have a fun twist. I pulled together the ones I’ve had on repeat lately. The great thing about white is, while perfect in the summer with cute shorts and skirts, they look classic chic in the fall with great jeans! I’ve been wearing this first one with cutoffs! Which one is your favorite?
