Monday: Makes Me Happy

ONE.  Like my Instagram post today, I can't wait to receive my copy of
Lauren Weisberger's new book, "When Life Gives You Lululemons."
"The Devil Wears Prada" still remains one of my all time favorite books
(and movies for that matter), so I can't wait to see what Weisberger has in
store for us now.  I mean, who would not want another chance to meet Miranda Priestley AND Emily?  Plus, I'm dying to hear Emily's cool take
on the way of life in the suburbs, but not just any suburb!  I've read almost
all of Weisberger's novels, but critics are saying this is definitely her best
since "The Devil Wears Prada!"  I've linked it here.  Lauren, the author, lives
in Connecticut with her husband and two daughters.  Let me know if you read this latest one!

TWO.  Have you seen the new Liberty prints at Janie and Jack.  I have a bit of an obsession for Liberty prints! I love them on everything and always have.  How cute is this romper and this headband?  I plan on ordering this swimsuit and this dress for the girls and if you have boys, I love this swimsuit!

THREE.  Blogging and reading blogs....I don't write nearly as much as I would like to, but I do LOVE my little space on the internet as my creative outlet and connecting with so many people.  With that said, I have some current favorites I want to share with you.  That's the thing about blogging, I'm always discovering new and exciting people to learn from and read all about.

Here is my blog round up (of the moment):
1.  Teggy French - Love her and love her vibrant energy at all times!
2.  Palm Beach Lately - Y'all know I'm a beach girl, so I love reading about these sweet sisters, their beautiful children and their beach adventures to beautiful places.
3.  Mimosa Lane was the very first blog I discovered!  I loved it then and still love it today.  The author, Albertina, has an amazing eye for all things stylish and I, of course love her mother ~ daughter adventures.
4.  Cella Jane is my fitness inspiration.  Becky is adorable and her kids are too!  Check her out and find cute bathing suits and fitness clothes.
5.  Luella and Jane is always a quick, fun read and Bradley radiates natural style in every post.

FOUR.  Ice Cream and Popsicle season is here and I am a cold dessert kind of girl!  I've linked an ice cream sandwich recipe here I can't wait to try with the girls!  I love making this when we need a healthy, but tasty cold dessert to enjoy.  You'll see this one soon because it happens to be Caroline's favorite to make when friends are over and she adds mix-ins to make it colorful and fun!  Oh, and here are a list of our favorite places to go for a cold, sweet treat if you are in the Chattanooga area!

Milk and Honey
Located at 135 North Market Street, this is a place with amazing homemade gelato.  Milk and Honey serves homemade gelato with ingredients from local farms, Stumptown coffee, homemade sweets, breakfast and lunch.  Adorable outdoor seating is available and this is a place frequented by my little family.
Clumpies
Clumpies is true handcrafted ice cream and has been around in Chattanooga since 1999.  It was opened by a third generation candy maker, where they were out to make a unique to Chattanooga ice cream.  With four Chattanooga locations, this is one ice cream experience you do not want to miss.
Frio's
These gourmet popsicles have become an instant favorite for my girls.  It has the cutest space, located in the historic Signal Mill building.  We love going after school, after gymnastics, after swimming . . . it just seems to be the perfect stop for a quick, cold treat.  It is a small franchise, but the Chattanooga location makes it seem like it is the only one.  We've tried so many flavors and love them all!

FIVE.  Catching lightening bugs has started to be an every night event at the Moore residence.  We're constantly trying to help the girls hold onto the magic of childhood, and what better way than catching lightening bugs at night?!?  Both Sarah and Caroline have one of these to catch them, where they watch them light up, and then always let them go!

I'll add a Six!  I'm listening to Sarah sing along with our Alexa in the kitchen.  I'm looking in from the corner of the family room and she is singing into a spoon . . . and singing "Let it Go!"  How in the world are kids not tired of this song I will never know; regardless, ....I sure love hearing her little voice and watching her dance around!

That's my round up for this first full week of June!  I'll leave with this sweet pic of Caroline since she was so excited when she saw the Chattanooga Southern Belle going by while we were eating in the kitchen tonight and ran outside!  Cheers to Summer, friends!  XOXO
